Delayed and cancelled flights at short notice

During times of high passenger traffic, there may be irregularities in flight operations. Your departure gate may change, your flight may be delayed or cancelled. If this is the case, we will inform you about any flight changes by e-mail or text and rebook you automatically as required. Please ensure that you have stored your current contact details in ​My bookings.

If you booked your flight ticket with a tour operator or travel agent, you can also contact them directly.

Quick help with last-minute flight cancellations

Was your flight cancelled at short notice? Use our Chat Assistant to check if you have already been rebooked, or you can select an alternative yourself and make the rebooking free of charge.

Delayed baggage

Let us know immediately about any delayed baggage so that we can return it to you as soon as possible.

Meal voucher

The meal voucher will be available to you for a flight delay of two hours. In Geneva and Zurich, the voucher is automatically linked to the QR code on the Boarding pass of the affected flight.

Assumption of costs for overnight hotel stays

In the event of an alternate flight the following day, there is the possibility of an overnight hotel stay in certain cases.

Passenger rights

If your flight has been cancelled or subjected to a long delay, or if you have been denied boarding on a flight for which you hold a confirmed reservation, you are entitled to certain rights under the terms of EU regulation 261/2004.
