General questions

If the family is listed on the same booking, it is unlikely that they will be separated onto different flights if the booking is changed. There may be exceptions depending on the flight occupancy.

There will be plenty of sanitiser dispensers at the airport. Antibacterial and antiviral sanitising wipes will be handed out on board. Nevertheless, you can still bring extra sanitiser with you, providing you comply with the applicable hand baggage restrictions (<100 ml).

There will still be blankets, pillows and headphones on long-haul flights. No textile items will be handed out on European flights. No meals or snacks will be offered on SWISS flights lasting less than 170 minutes. The usual drinks service will be offered on flights lasting over 45 minutes (no drinks service will be offered on shorter flights). The frequency of services has not altered.

The play areas in Zurich and Geneva are open and there are no restrictions.

Journeys should only be taken at present if all passengers are healthy. Travellers with cold symptoms may be refused entry depending on the country.

Travelling with children

Masks are not required at Zurich Airport, but the airport recommends wearing a mouth and nose covering if the distance of 1.5 metres cannot be maintained. Masks have been compulsory at Geneva Airport since 28 July and children over the age of 6 years are also required to wear masks on board.
