Yes, in addition to your checked baggage, you can transport your ski or snowboard equipment at no extra charge on all flights operated by SWISS (including wet lease). Your checked baggage must be within the required dimensions for size and weight. This offer does not apply to flights booked on Economy Light fares and to codeshare flights, or connecting flights to the USA where one leg is a codeshare flight.
Ski equipment includes one pair of skis, one pair of ski boots, one pair of ski poles and a helmet. This equipment can be transported in two bags. Snowboard equipment includes one bag containing a snowboard and one bag containing one pair of snowboard boots and a helmet. The equipment must not exceed a maximum length of two metres.
If you have booked a flight on an Economy Light fare, you can transport your ski or snowboard equipment for a special rate.
- The rates for flights within Europe are CHF 92 / EUR 80 per flight.
- For flights between Zurich and Geneva, the rates are CHF 80 / EUR 70 per flight.
No, you don’t have to register your ski equipment in advance. Only bicycles and firearms have to be registered in advance.
You may also transport your golf equipment in lieu of the free baggage allowance of your fare type, provided it does not exceed the size and weight restrictions of your free baggage allowance.
Your bicycle will only be accepted for transport if it is packed in a suitable bicycle case or a similar container. In Zurich and Geneva we provide complimentary bicycle boxes. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide bicycle boxes at any other airports. Depending on the distance, the transport costs between CHF 80 / EUR 70 and CHF 287 / EUR 250 per flight. Please register your bike for transport as soon as possible.
