Sustainable and responsible business behaviour is an important pillar of the SWISS corporate strategy.

Corporate responsibility
Air travel brings people, cultures and countries together, and facilitates global exchange and trade. Today it is impossible to imagine a world without air travel. The vital importance of the airline industry also means we shoulder a high level of responsibility – towards society as a whole, our customers, employees and the environment. We feel it is our obligation to create added value for our customers, our employees and for Switzerland, and to fully meet the responsibility we bear. SWISS implements comprehensive measures to reduce its impact on the environment, maintains responsible relations with its employees and as a company is actively engaged in numerous social issues.
SWISS is committed to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact and supports the implementation of the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations (Sustainable Development Goals). Matters of particular importance to SWISS include the support of climate goals, responsible resource management and its responsibilities as an employer. These and other basic principles of our business activities can also be found in the SWISS Code of Business Conduct and also in the Lufthansa Group Code of Conduct.
The SWISS business model creates value individually, economically and for society as a whole. This corporate responsibility approach helps SWISS to amplify the positive impact of its business activities. Corporate responsibility initiatives are integrated into daily business activities and are continuously evaluated and optimised in the context of strategy development. Economic responsibility is the foundation of our activities. Only competitive companies can successfully take on responsibility.
SWISS defines its sustainability agenda according to the following areas of activity:
