SWISS supports the SOS Children’s Villages Foundation, which provides a family for children in need worldwide, and enables them to shape their own future. SWISS helps SOS Children’s Villages with donations, targeted actions and flight services. On board SWISS airlines, coins and cash of all currencies are also collected for SOS Children’s Villages. Over the last 20 years SWISS passengers have donated over three million francs through coin collection. The money has been used to support certain specific projects. Most recently, SWISS passengers financed two SOS Children’s Villages in Lesotho. And donations have been flowing into Kenya since the beginning of 2020.

The SWISS Children’s Foundation is an independent SWISS foundation in which SWISS employees volunteer for disadvantaged children. The Foundation primarily works together with SOS Children’s Villages, the children's aid organisation, and annually finances the living expenses of numerous SOS Children’s Villages families. Various humanitarian projects are also supported. A voluntary wage deduction from employees, direct support from SWISS and one-off donations enables the support of the SWISS Children’s Foundation.

SWISS supports the Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe Foundation in fulfilling the wishes of children with an illness or disability. The Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in Lausanne and Zurich that is active across Switzerland. For 30 years it has been bringing joy and variety to children and young people who live with an illness, disability or the results of a debilitating accident by fulfilling their wishes.
