Check-in times at the desk and self check-in options
Please arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare. We generally recommend you get to the airport around 2 hours before departure (short-haul routes) or 3 hours before departure (long-haul routes). Please note also the personalised information in your pre-flight e-mail and on your boarding pass.
The opening times of check-in desks vary depending on the airport and the flight duration. Please note the check-in times so you arrive at your gate in good time and fully relaxed.
Most airports also provide self check-in options. Use these options whenever you can and save time at the airport.

Check-in options at the airport
Check-in at Zurich and Geneva
Check in as early as the day before your departure. That way you will arrive at the airport on the day of your trip with no baggage and no time pressure, relaxed and with your boarding pass to hand. This service is available for all flights operated by SWISS with departures from Geneva and Zurich. You can use this service until 20:45 in Geneva, and until 22:00 in Zurich.
If you are travelling to the United States and wish to check in baggage, you must be physically present at the check-in counter.
