Love stories often show that true love can blossom anywhere, whether in the infinite vastness of the sky or in the bustling terminals of airports - just think of "Love Actually". This romantic sentiment inspired us to invite our SWISS community to share their personal love stories with us. The response was overwhelming, and we would like to share with you three of the stories that took us to cloud nine. We've also checked internally and can't wait to tell you the heartwarming story of how SWISS crew members Nicole and Kevin met.

Fabienne & Maximillian - Love at first flight (LX788)
"I met my wife Fabienne on LX788 from Zurich to Brussels on 3 January 2010 - at least, that‘s when I glimpsed her for the first time across the cabin. I only worked up the courage to talk to her at the baggage carousel. I had to work hard to get her to give me her number, but once we had our suitcases back and were strolling over to the train station, she gave in! A few whirlwind dates later and we were a firm couple. Since then, we've moved from Brussels to London and most recently to beautiful Switzerland, got married in 2018 and welcomed our baby boy in 2023. Thank you SWISS for connecting people and bringing us together! You have a special place in our hearts."

Jasmin & Philipp - A Yes at the Foot of the Eiffel Tower
"Although we met during carnival, SWISS has been a constant companion in our lives. First as singles, then as a couple and now as a small family. That includes 8 September 2012, when we flew with SWISS to the City of Love on one of our many city trips. We wandered the streets, felt the stories in the alleys of Paris and enjoyed the culinary diversity. In the evening, at the foot of the glittering Eiffel Tower, I asked her the question of all questions. Without hesitation, she said "Yes", followed by a passionate kiss. On our honeymoon in Venice and in the three weeks after our church wedding on 24 August 2013, when we "honeymooned" around the world on our round-the-world ticket, SWISS was always there. Last autumn, we took our two children to Paris for the first time. Back to the place where it all began when my sweetheart said "I do" more than eleven years ago."

Irina & Damian - An upgrade for Valentine's Day
"In September 2018, I met a fantastic man online. It quickly became clear that we were a good match, so two months later we booked a flight to Los Angeles. On 14 February, we waited anxiously at the gate to board. Damian was visibly nervous about his first long-haul flight. On the pretext of going to the toilet, I slipped away. Towards the gate counter. I wanted my first long-haul flight to be special. So I booked us an upgrade to business class. We boarded and suddenly the seats in row 12 were ours. Damian was overwhelmed. Fate made the flight even more special: a long-time friend of mine was in the cockpit. On arrival in Los Angeles, we met for a drink to toast an unforgettable journey. Damian still raves about the flight and my spur-of-the-moment decision for this special Valentine's gift - the way to a man's heart is not only through his stomach, but also through the air."

Nicole & Kevin - Love on Duty
"It was fate that we met on 21 June 2018. Both on standby, we struck up a conversation on the aircraft stairs during the turnaround of our A220 flight in Munich. We quickly realised that we not only complemented each other in our flying duties, but also on a personal level. In the summer of 2018, our personal high-altitude journey began. After our engagement in Costa Rica in 2021, our beautiful civil wedding took place in June 2023 at Schloss Thun. A few weeks later, we celebrated the big event with family and friends in Kevin's hometown, the Kaiserstuhl region of southern Germany, on an estate surrounded by vineyards. As part of our aviation routine, we occasionally get to explore the world as First Class Flight Attendant and First Officer on the Boeing 777 - a real privilege!"
