Extra oxygen

Passengers who require oxygen during the flight may request this from the airline. We provide company oxygen bottles for use on board. The system emits oxygen upon every breath by a nasal cannula. The oxygen bottle will be installed at your seat ready to use.

Please order the supplement oxygen at least 72 hours before departure. Make the order and arrange for payment directly one of our SWISS representations or through a Service Center. For further information, please visit our homepage www.swiss.com ​contact.

You must be assessed for your fitness to fly before the flight. Therefore medical details must be provided at least 72 hours before departure by filling out the ​MEDIF form by your treating doctor. Please upload the form and other information requested here: ​med.swiss.com.

After evaluation of the ​MEDIF form by SWISS Medical Services and after receipt of payment of the respective costs the oxygen will be ready for you on board.

The price for one leg amounts to CHF 300.- for an Europe flight and CHF 450.- for an intercontinental flight.

Passengers are not permitted to use their own oxygen bottles on board.

Travellers who wish to use a battery-powered portable oxygen concentrator (POC) on board must fill in a ​POC form in addition to the ​MEDIF form and upload the form here: ​med.swiss.com.
