FAQ: eJournals

1. Find your booking with your reservation number or Travel ID. Then click on your upcoming flight.

2. You will find the eJournals under “Additional options”. Here you can see your current credit and access the download area.

3. Click on the cover of your chosen title and confirm the download to your smartphone, tablet or laptop.

4. We recommend using a Wi-Fi connection for the download as well as using Chrome or Firefox due to the limitations of other browsers.

The number of complimentary eJournals available is based on the travel class booked and your Miles & More status. In the event of a booking being subsequently added to your Miles & More status, the number of eJournals available cannot be changed for technical reasons.

You can download your chosen eJournals free of charge to your smartphone, tablet or notebook from five days before departure and up to and including one day after your last SWISS flight. You will find the validity date in the media box under the number of available downloads.

Once you have saved the title on your end device, the period of use is unlimited.

Please use an alternative browser to access your eJournals, for example Firefox or Chrome.

If the problem persists, we recommend you delete your browser’s cache. You can usually find this option in your browser’s internet settings.

Tip: if the download is interrupted for any reason, you can select and download the same daily newspaper or magazine again without having to perform an additional download, even though the download counter is at “0”.

  1. If you want to download a PDF file from the internet onto Apple Books, first open it in Safari and tap once with your finger anywhere on the document.
  2. A menu bar will then open at the top of the screen. Tap “Open in Apple Books” on the right.
  3. The document will then be automatically saved in Apple Books.
  1. If you want to download a PDF file from the internet onto your Android device, first open your browser and select the document.
  2. On most devices, the document will now download automatically and will be in your local “Downloads” folder when the download is complete. You can now open the document in the folder by clicking on it.
  3. When the PDF document opens in the browser, the PDF file can then be saved locally by clicking on the save icon (usually represented by a floppy disc). You will find the publication in your “Downloads” folder.

You can easily purchase more newspapers and magazines via the Media Box for a fee or by using your collected miles. This even works if you don’t have a current flight ticket.

The download may take some time as the newspapers and magazines that we offer are in the highest possible resolution. We, therefore, recommend you use a Wi-Fi connection or a hot spot.
