SWISS embraces "Silent Luxury": the design highlights of the new SWISS Senses cabin

SWISS elevates the travel experience with its new cabin interior. At the heart of the concept is the idea of "Silent Luxury," perfectly reflecting our brand identity—an elegant, timeless, and serene atmosphere created through high-quality materials and thoughtful design. Antoine Lisboa, designer and Teamlead SWISS Brand Management, explains how each class, with its unique design elements, contributes to a harmonious whole and reinforces SWISS’s premium positioning.

A warm welcome onboard
Upon entering the new cabin, passengers are greeted by an atmospheric entrance. Warm Burgundy tones and soft lighting create an inviting atmosphere. "Our goal was to make guests feel welcomed as soon as they step aboard," says Antoine Lisboa. Even the galley has been visually optimized: the lower parts are designed in darker tones to hide wear marks from trolleys and luggage, while the lighter upper surfaces make the space feel brighter and more open.

SWISS Economy and SWISS Premium Economy: calm and natural accents
The "Silent Luxury" concept is also clearly noticeable in SWISS Economy and SWISS Premium Economy. The use of new fabrics in earthy tones adds a calm touch to both cabins. Notably, the fabric pattern, inspired by Swiss textile traditions, adds an elegant flair to the seats. Both classes feature new leather headrests, adjustable for maximum comfort during rest. These headrests significantly improve comfort while enhancing the overall look. In SWISS Premium Economy, travelers also enjoy extra seat space and additional amenities. This class is specifically designed for those looking for a premium alternative to Economy without having to upgrade to Business Class.

SWISS Business: comfort meets sophistication
SWISS Business is designed for travelers seeking the perfect balance of productivity and relaxation. The new design is characterized by a calm color palette with natural tones and Burgundy accents, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The seats are ergonomically designed with high-quality padding to ensure maximum comfort on long flights. The centerpiece is the flexible seat configurations: whether for a private retreat or an open space to work, SWISS Business offers solutions to suit every need. The combination of modern design and high-end materials reflects the refined nature of the SWISS brand.

SWISS First: exclusivity and elegance
SWISS First sets a new benchmark for luxury and comfort. The suites are designed to offer maximum privacy—an essential part of the "Silent Luxury" approach. Premium materials like Nomex fabrics not only provide an appealing look but also long-lasting durability.

Particularly noteworthy are the wood-look slats, a unifying design element: they appear in both the suites and the exterior and extend into the restrooms. There, they complement the elegant Varicor surfaces with a marble effect, creating a harmonious and luxurious overall aesthetic. The seats and cabin walls are finished in warm tones, offering timeless elegance. Additionally, generous space is designed to provide travelers with the utmost privacy and relaxation. "In SWISS First, we wanted to create an experience that gives travelers a sense of exclusivity and security," emphasizes Antoine Lisboa.

A new sense of space in the washrooms
The onboard wahsrooms have also been completely redesigned. Instead of the usual white, functional design, SWISS incorporates a dark Peacock green accent, which, together with black fixtures and Varicor surfaces, creates a high-quality and modern ambiance. This combination of colors and materials conveys a sense of generosity and elegance. "We also wanted the restrooms to reflect our premium standards," says Antoine Lisboa.

With its new cabin interior, SWISS sets an entirely new standard for air travel across its Airbus A350-900, Boeing 777-300, and Airbus A330-300 fleets. Each class, from SWISS Economy to SWISS First, has been carefully designed to blend elegance, comfort, and functionality. The consistent "Silent Luxury" concept ensures that all passengers experience a sense of tranquility and exclusivity, no matter the class they are flying in. With this redesign, SWISS reinforces its position as a premium airline, offering an experience that we—and hopefully our guests—are confident in.
