Current Information for SWISS passengers

On four weekends in January and February 2025, Zurich Airport station will only be accessible by train from Zurich HB/Zurich Oerlikon and Winterthur to a limited extent due to construction work by SBB.

Affected Periods

    • Saturday, 18 January, 04:00 AM to Monday, 20 January, 4:38 AM

    • Saturday, 25 January, 04:00 AM to Monday, 27 January, 4:38 AM

    • Saturday, 1 February, 04:00 AM to Monday, 3 February, 4:38 AM

    • Saturday, 8 February, 04:00 AM to Monday, 10 February, 4:38 AM

During these periods, shuttle trains will run every 30 minutes from Zurich HB/Zurich Oerlikon or Winterthur to the airport. However, travel times may be extended by up to 20 minutes. Long-distance trains will be rerouted and will not stop at Zurich Airport station.

Early morning connections during off-peak hours will also be affected. Travelers and visitors are encouraged to use alternative connections and plan their journey carefully.

Due to current developments, SWISS and the Lufthansa Group have decided to adjust the flight schedule.

The following destinations are currently affected:

·         Flights to Tel Aviv will be suspended up to and including 10 November 2024

·         Flights to Beirut will be suspended up to and including 18 January 2025

We regret the inconvenience caused to our passengers and will contact the passengers booked on the cancelled flights. We will of course allow them to rebook to a later travel date free of charge or refund the full ticket price.

Rebooking and additional information         

In the event of a cancellation, SWISS will rebook you free of charge and usually automatically to another flight and inform you via your mobile phone number. If you do not receive a message from SWISS, please check the current status of your booking. Here you can also adjust the rebooking if required.  Alternatively, you can also use the SWISS Chat Assistant.
