Terms & Conditions for SWISS “LXmas” Washington, D.C. Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”)

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. This Sweepstakes is offered only in the continental United States and is open only to legal residents of the U.S. who have reached the age of majority in the State in which they reside (void in Puerto Rico, Florida and where prohibited by law), and are eligible to enter, except employees and residents of the same households (whether related or not) and their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings children and each of their respective spouses) regardless of where they live of Swiss International Air Lines (“SWISS”), and its respective affiliated companies (the “Lufthansa Group”), franchises, promotional agencies and anyone involved in the promotion, development and handling of this Sweepstakes.

2. The Sweepstakes requires participants (“Entrants”) to complete the following steps; (a) visit the SWISS LXmas activation at 3276 M St NW and East Market Lane in Georgetown, Washington, DC; (b) scan the QR code at the activation; and c) complete the Woobox digital entry form where Entrants must input the required entry details and click “submit”. The Sweepstakes begins on December 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time and ends on December 15, 2024 at 5:00 pm Eastern Time (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Limit one entry per person. Duplicate entries will be void.

A total of one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize (“Prize”) consists of: Two (2) Economy Class roundtrip tickets on a SWISS operated flight from IAD to Switzerland; The approximate retail value of the Prize is US $3,600.00.

Odds of winning will be determined by the number of total entries.

Prize must be accepted as awarded with no substitution. Prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit, in whole or in part.

Tickets are subject to availability at time of booking and all travel must be completed by December 15, 2025. Winner must specify date of travel at time of booking and blackout periods will apply. Air travel arrangements must be made through SWISS only. Confirmation of requested travel date will be subject to availability at time of booking. Once booked, travel arrangements may not be changed except with a fee corresponding to fare booked. The selected winner and his/her traveling companion must have the same origin and destination and must travel together at all times. Traveling companion must be at least the age of majority. The Prize winner and his/her traveling companion will be responsible for all expenses not specifically stated as part of the Prize, including but not limited to, any baggage fees, local transportation including air or ground transportation

from the winner’s home to airport, overnight accommodation prior to or following the travel dates in order to accommodate flight connections, travel expenses within Switzerland, income taxes, insurance, passport and visa costs, gratuities, all meals, beverages, incidentals, advanced seat assignments and any items of a personal nature. Cancellation insurance is not part of the Prize, but is recommended and must be arranged privately by winner. Winner is responsible for procuring adequate documentation for European travel. Prize must be accepted as awarded with no substitution. Prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit, in whole or in part, for any destination.

SWISS's Conditions of Carriage shall apply to all air transportation.

3. How to enter: The Sweepstakes requires Entrants to

(a) Visit the SWISS LXmas activation at 3276 M St NW and East Market Lane in Georgetown, Washington, DC; (b) scan the QR code at the activation; and c) complete the Woobox digital entry form where Entrants must input the required entry details and click “submit.”

By providing their information the Entrant is agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of this Sweepstakes; and agree that all contact information that is provided by the entrant becomes the property of SWISS. Personal data provided by an Entrant will not be sold or provided to any third parties and will be used solely for direct marketing purposes. Entrants can opt out of receiving communications from SWISS via the opt out or unsubscribe options provided.

Incomplete or inaccurate registrations or entries are void. No other form of entry will be accepted. Any person in violation of the preceding entry limitation will be disqualified. All information provided by the entrant during the Sweepstakes period becomes the property of SWISS.

Limit one (1) entry per individual, per Sweepstakes. Any person who attempts to participate with multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities, under multiple social media accounts, or uses any device or artifice to enter multiple times in violation of the preceding entry limitation will be disqualified. Any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed, or like (online) entry methods will void all such entries by such methods and result in disqualification of any entrant using such methods. ALL ENTRIES WILL BE THOROUGHLY REVIEWED and are subject to disqualification if any fraud is detected. Any fraudulent entries will be deemed void and will result in immediate disqualification.

SWISS is not responsible for: (i) entries that are lost, late, stolen, incomplete, illegible, damaged, garbled, destroyed, misdirected, undelivered, inaccurate or

not received by SWISS for any reason; (ii) destruction of or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or (iii) any other causes that jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes. All incomplete or otherwise nonconforming entries will be disqualified. SWISS is further not responsible for: (i) incorrect or inaccurate entry or prize claim information whether caused by Entrant or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes, or for any other errors of any kind, whether technical, network, printing, typographical, human or otherwise, in any Sweepstakes-related materials or in the announcement of prizes/prizewinners; or (ii) misrepresentation, cheating or fraud by any Entrant. If any of the foregoing malfunctions, errors, defects or acts render the Sweepstakes incapable of operating as planned, SWISS, at its sole discretion, may suspend or cancel this Sweepstakes immediately and select a winner in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (as appropriate) the action taken by Lufthansa, or in any other manner deemed fair and equitable by SWISS. All entries become the exclusive property of the SWISS and will not be returned or acknowledged except as provided herein. If SWISS, in its sole discretion, determines that an individual is tampering or attempting to tamper with the Sweepstakes, such individual will be disqualified. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SWISS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. By entering this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Terms and Conditions and the decisions of SWISS, which shall be final, binding and conclusive on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Any information collected by registering to enter the Sweepstakes shall be used only in a manner consistent with these Official Rules and SWISS’s privacy policy.

Entrants release SWISS from all liability in connection with the Prize won.

4. The Prize will be awarded after a random drawing is performed from all eligible entries by an independent party.

5. The Prize winners will be notified within one week after the end of the Sweepstakes period. The selected winners will be contacted via the email address provided during entry. If a selected winner does not comply with the Terms and Conditions or does not respond to the email within seven (7) days of notification, that Entrant forfeits any right to the Prize and a new random winner

will be selected. The Prize is not transferable or convertible to cash and must be accepted as awarded. In a dispute, the authorized account holder of the email account will be declared the winner of the online Sweepstakes.

6. SWISS is not responsible for failure for any reason whatsoever of selected entrant to receive notification. Arrangements for the fulfillment of the Prize will be handled by SWISS. SWISS reserves the right in their sole discretion to substitute any and all part of the Prize with a Prize of comparable value.

SWISS is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer system, property or anything stored on or related thereto as a result of participation in, or connection with, this Sweepstakes. Entrants release SWISS from all liability in connection with the Sweepstakes and any Prize won.

7. In order to be eligible to win the Prize, the winner will be required to sign a declaration of compliance with the Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions and one or more releases waiving SWISS’s liability with respect to injuries, accidents, loss, or misfortune relating to the drawing and/or the awarding of the Prize. In addition, the winner of the Prize must complete and submit a W9 to SWISS, and must authorize SWISS to announce and publish their names, addresses and photographs (without remuneration) in any publicity. All Prize winners may be asked by SWISS staff to verify residency and age requirements by showing a valid photo identification card.

Failure to comply with all the drawing rules or to sign and return any of the release forms within seven (7) days will result in disqualification and another entrant will be drawn from the remaining eligible entries received. A selected entrant will be declared a winner only after meeting all of the above terms and conditions.

8. Arrangements for the fulfillment of the Prize will be handled by SWISS.

9. SWISS is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, delay in operation or transmission or unauthorized access to or alterations of entries, or for technical, equipment, network, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunction or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry by SWISS, even if it affects ability to enter or entry into this Sweepstakes. SWISS is also not responsible for lost, stolen, misdirected, delayed, destroyed or illegible entries. All submissions become the property of SWISS and will not be returned.

10. The decisions of SWISS for the Sweepstakes will be final and binding on all entrants. By entering, entrants agree that they have read, understood and agree

to these Sweepstakes terms and conditions and release SWISS from all liability in connection with the Sweepstakes and/or any Prize. Prizes are subject to all applicable Federal, State and Municipal taxes which are the responsibility of the winner.

By entering, all Entrants agree to release and hold harmless SWISS, and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and the officers, directors, agents and employees of each of the foregoing, and all others associated with the development and execution of this Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from and against any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising from or in connection with, participation in this Sweepstakes and/or the acceptance, possession or use of any Prizes that may be awarded to them, including, but not limited, to liability for personal injury, bodily injury, death, damages or loss of any kind. By accepting the Prize offered, the winner acknowledges and agrees that SWISS, and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and the officers, directors, agents, employees of each of the foregoing, have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Prize, including without limitation, its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose.

11. SWISS reserves the right to amend or terminate all or any portion of this Sweepstakes at any time without prior notification. SWISS reserves the right to substitute a Prize of equal or greater value in the event of non-availability of the Prize for any reason. Void where prohibited.

12. All federal, state, and local laws/regulations apply. This Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA (without regard to principles of conflict of laws), with venue and jurisdiction Nassau County, NY and all claims must be resolved in the courts located in Nassau County, NY, except as required by law.

13. The name of the winner may be obtained by e-mail sent to ​rsvp.lufthansa@dlh.de within 120 days after the closing date of the Sweepstakes. Subject line must contain “SWISS LXmas Washington, D.C Sweepstakes”
